Marking Her Return to the Festival where She Received Her First Award
Tunisian star Hend Sabry Attends the screening of The Flower of Aleppo at the 27th Carthage Film Festival

Hend Sabry is getting ready for traveling to her homeland Tunisia to attend the screening of her new upcoming film The Flower of Aleppo, by Tunisian director Reda Al Bahi, that has been selected to open the 27th Carthage Film Festival (JCC) (October 28- November 5). Hosting the film's world premiere, the festival's edition this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
On the participation of her film in JCC, Sabry commented, "Carthage Film Festival is one of the most important and prestigious Arab and African film festivals. I feel proud and delighted that The Flower of Aleppo, the first film I co-produce, is going to open the festival that screens annually the best films from all over the world, plus it is held in my homeland Tunisia, and this is very special to me, and I'm happy that I will be attending the screening of my film."
It's worth mentioning that Sabry's first award ever was from the Carthage Film Festival for her role in the Tunisian film, Silence of the Palaces (Samt al Qosoor) by director MoufidaTlatli. In the film, Sabry plays the role of a Tunisian woman who goes through an arduous journey with the backdrop of the Syrian crisis. The filming locations were in Tunisia, starring Hichem Rostom, Badis Behi, and Mohamed Ali Ben Jomaa.
The Flower of Aleppo is a co -production between Sabbah Media Corporation (Lebanon), Alya Films (Tunisia) and Sabry's Salam PROD, marking her first cinematic production. The new film comes as part of Hend Sabry's plans to co-produce other Arab projects within the coming months.
First established in 1966, the Carthage Film Festival is the longest-standing film festival in the Arab world and Africa. The festival was hosted every two years until it became an annual event ever since its edition in 2014. Since it was first created, the prestigious Carthage Film Festival is always devoted to screening remarkable Arab and international films, with recognition to their filmmakers.

هند صبري تحضر عرض زهرة حلب في افتتاح أيام قرطاج السينمائية

تستعد الفنانة هند صبري للسفر إلى موطنها تونس لحضور عرض فيلمها زهرة حلب للمخرج التونسي الكبير رضا الباهي، في افتتاح الدورة الـ27 من أيام قرطاج السينمائية (من 28 أكتوبر - تشرين الأول إلى 5 نوفمبر - تشرين الثاني) الذي يحتفل بمرور خمسين عاماً على انطلاقه.
وتعلق على ذلك الفنانة هند صبري قائلةً "أيام قرطاج السينمائية هو أحد أهم وأعرق المهرجانات السينمائية العربية والأفريقية، وأنا أشعر بالفخر والسعادة لأن يفتتح زهرة حلب، أول الأفلام التي أشارك في إنتاجها، فعاليات المهرجان الذي يُقام في موطني تونس، ويعرض سنوياً أهم الأفلام من مختلف أنحاء العالم، هذا أمر شديد الخصوصية بالنسبة لي، ويسعدني أن أتواجد مع فيلمي في هذه اللحظة".
جدير بالذكر أن أول جائزة فازت بها هند صبري عبر مسيرتها السينمائية، كانت في أيام قرطاج السينمائية عن دورها في فيلم صمت القصور للمخرجة مفيدة التلاتي.
وفي زهرة حلب تؤدي هند صبري دور امرأة تونسية تخوض رحلة شاقة على خلفية الوضع السوري المأساوي الحالي، وقد تم تصوير الفيلم في تونس، ويشارك في بطولته النجومهشام رستم، باديس باهي ومحمد علي بن جمعة.
وبالتعاون مع شركة صبّاح للإعلام (لبنان) وAlya Films (تونس)، تشارك هند صبري في إنتاج الفيلم من خلال شركتها Salam PROD في أولى إنتاجاتها السينمائية، وقد جاء هذا ضمن خططتها للمشاركة بمشروعات سينمائية عربية خلال الأشهر المقبلة.
أيام قرطاج السينمائية هو أقدم مهرجان سينمائي في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، تأسس عام 1966 ليُقام كل عامين، ومنذ دورة عام 2014 أصبح المهرجان يُقام سنوياً، ويحرص المهرجان منذ انطلاقه على عرض أهم الأفلام العربية والدولية والاحتفاء بصانعيها.
